In 2013, during my time as a student in Belgium, I completed an internship in Customer Services at Prayon Inc. Beforehand, I attended interviews to test my level of English and show how motivated I was. The staff at Prayon took care of everything when I arrived in the US. At the end of the internship, I returned to Belgium and joined the equivalent department at Engis as a temporary and then as a permanent employee. I then became Assistant Product Manager in 2018 and my position was restructured as Demand Planner in 2021. Finally, in 2022, another opportunity arose: a return to Augusta as a Product Manager! I manage Prayon Inc.’s product range and monitor sales and exports of products outside the USA.
Prayon is a family business. I’ve always known about the Group, as members of my family have worked there both now and in the past. When I was a student, I also worked at Engis. Prayon was the natural choice for my internship. Given the Group’s international scope, Augusta was an ideal location.
I’d encourage young people to apply to Prayon. The company is home to a range of departments, which is rare these days, when outsourced services are the norm. You’ll no doubt find a team where you can amass experience in your chosen field. Working in a company gives us direct exposure to the realities of the workplace, so we’re well equipped for the future. What’s more, Prayon offers a warm welcome and plenty of support! It’s great that a company invests so much in young people and gives them the opportunity to learn! I think we should also thank the company for help by making the most of our experience, by getting involved, by taking an interest in the range of jobs we do, and by being eager to learn!
